Lead Instructor Position

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Horsemanship Instructor to join our inclusive team to teach an adaptable program. We serve all children and adults from 4+, including those with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background with horses and experience as an instructor ensuring the safety and well-being of both students and horses.


Duties
-Provide hands-on instruction in riding techniques, horse care, and safety protocols.
-Instruct semi-private group and private riding lessons for youth and adults.
-Conduct assessments of students’ skills and progress, offering constructive feedback for improvement.
-Independently instruct lessons based on specific curriculum.
-Ensure the proper care and management of horses, including groundwork, grooming, feeding, and health monitoring.
-Foster a positive learning environment that encourages teamwork, discipline, and respect for horses.
-Collaborate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress and areas for development.
-Maintain a safe training environment by adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.


Experience
-Previous experience as an instructor or in a similar role is preferred.
-Background in child development a plus.
-Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and adapt to students individual learning needs.
-Experience working with diverse age groups from children to adults is highly desirable.
-Knowledge of horse care practices and basic riding skills are essential.
-Certification in first aid is advantageous but not required.

Qualifications

-Proven experience teaching horsemanship or riding lessons

-Strong knowledge of horse behavior, care, and safety practices

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

-Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions

-Team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail


Compensation & Benefits
-Hourly pay is based on experience $18-$24.00 per hour
